Riddhima is married to Delhi-based industrialist Bharat Sahni, and the couple has a daughter, Samara Sahni. In 2006, Riddhima Kapoor and Bharat Sahni began their happily-ever-after journey after tying the knot in a grand ceremony.

We have stumbled upon some unseen pictures from Riddhima and Bharat’s wedding, which are pure gold. In the pictures, Riddhima was seen performing her wedding rituals along with Bharat. She looked gorgeous in a red-coloured lehenga with matching jewellery and a red chooda. With glossy lips, tainted cheeks and kohled eyes, Riddhima looked stunning.

On the other hand, Bharat looked handsome in a cream-coloured sherwani with a red-coloured safa. We also spotted Riddhima’s dad, Rishi Kapoor, in one of the pictures. Ranbir Kapoor performed brotherly duties and was seen performing Laja Homa, wherein the brother of the bride puts Baja (puffed rice, a symbol of prosperity) in the couple’s hands. Then, together, the couple offers the Baja as a Tahiti amidst the chanting of mantras.

Unseen picture from Riddhima Kapoor’s 'chooda' ceremony

Not just the wedding pictures, we also got our hands on Riddhima’s chooda ceremony. In the picture, Riddhima was seen posing with Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor. While Rishi Kapoor opted for a casual t-shirt and pants, Neetu Kapoor flaunted her brightest smile in a green-coloured suit, and they both looked calm and content, happy holding their daughter. Riddhima looked stunning in her no-makeup look, donning a pretty light-orange coloured suit, and Ranbir looked handsome in a white kurta. Riddhima’s chooda was hidden with a white piece of clothing.

Riddhima Kapoor and Bharat Kapoor’s love story

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni met Bharat Sahni while studying in London. They knew each other and dated for three years. When she came back to Mumbai, her father, Rishi Kapoor, asked Riddhima to give another year to her relationship to see whether she felt the same way about Bharat. As per a DNA report, Neetu Kapoor revealed that Bharat and Riddhima dated for another year after coming back to India and then decided to begin their forever journey.

Bharat Sahni and Riddhima Kapoor’s engagement was an impromptu affair. Speaking to journalist, Indu Mirani about the ceremony, Neetu Kapoor recalled:

“The way Riddhima and Bharat got engaged is so reminiscent of the way Rishi and I did. He wanted me to complete my films before anything formal was done. On a trip to Delhi, his sister Ritu insisted that we get engaged. We did, after borrowing rings. It was a hurried affair, totally unexpected.”
