Reports indicated that the accident occurred at 3.00 p.m. The exact cause of the crash and the condition of others have not been confirmed. R.B. Choudhary was the founder of Super Good Films and had been a prominent figure in the Tamil film industry since 1988. His mortal remains will reportedly be transported to Chennai. His team had shared:

"His immense contribution to Indian cinema, especially through decades of memorable films, will always be remembered. This is an irreplaceable loss to the film fraternity. Deepest condolences to his family and dear ones. May his soul rest in peace."
