Entertainment when he and Chelsea started dating in 2006. The writer and television host’s show, Chelsea Lately, used to air on Ted’s network during that period. However, the romance did not last long, leading to their separation four years later in 2010. While speaking to Marie Claire in 2012, Chelsea Handler said that the split was linked to their work connection. She recalled the time when she would return home, and Ted asked her if she would like to watch her show. Handler said that she and Jo could not agree on a lot of things, including some where she felt like she had to abandon herself, and she was not ready to do the same.

Chelsea Handler has kept her current relationship away from the limelight

Chelsea Handler is not single right now, and she is in a relationship with someone. Compared to her dating history, Chelsea has preferred to keep her partner away from the spotlight this time. Handler told the Las Vegas Review-Journal in March 2026 that they met at The Cosmopolitan hotel a few months ago in 2025. Chelsea recalled the first meeting and said:

“I had to ask this guy sitting at a blackjack table who was wearing a cowboy hat, he had a lot of chips, like thousands of dollars. I was like, ‘Hey, buddy, can I borrow USD 1,000? I’m gonna start winning right away. And he was like, ‘Yeah, absolutely!’ So he gave me USD 1,000.”

Chelsea Handler said that she began winning and returned the loan on the spot with some extra money as interest. However, Handler took the money back later from the person because she believed that he did not deserve it. Chelsea’s new boyfriend had also accompanied her to Antarctica for a vacation in November 2025 and celebrated Chelsea’s birthday in Finland in February 2026.
