Who is Sam Worthington's wife, Lara Worthington?
Lara Bingle was born on June 22, 1987, in New South Wales, Australia. She began modeling as a teenager in Australia and dropped out of school at 16 to pursue a career in Italy. In 2006, Lara booked a major advertising campaign for Australia's tourism agency. However, soon enough, the ads turned into a massive controversy. The controversy emerged over Lara's dialogue in the ad. The model was donned in a bikini in the commercial, and ended the ad by saying the campaign tagline, "So where the bl**dy hell are you?"
The tag sparked a major controversy: while the term 'bl**dy' was a common phrase in Australia, the international audience was not familiar with it, leading to the word being cut from commercials in the UK. Additionally, the ad was banned from being played during family programs in Canada due to the use of the word 'hell'. Nonetheless, Lara's career continued to grow, with her gracing the covers of Elle Australia, Marie Claire Australia, and Harper's Bazaar Australia.
She also made a guest appearance on Australia's Next Top Model. Lara also worked on several brand collaborations and ambassadorships, including Speedo, Cotton On, and Emma Lewisham skincare. She also starred on her own reality show, Being Lara Bingle, and also competed on shows like Torvill and Dean's Dancing on Ice, where she placed third with partner and pro skater, Matt Evers. In 2011, she competed on Australia's Dancing with the Stars and finished fifth with partner, Carmelo Pizzino.

"I said, 'Mum, I'm going to get married,'" she added. "And she was like, 'What? You've just met this guy.' And I said, 'No, he's definitely [the one].'"

She reflected on their big day and revealed that it was extremely intimate, with less than 10 people present. She also revealed that she was six months pregnant with their first child at the time. She was quoted as saying:
"It was very intimate — we just popped in to Melbourne, where Sam's family is from. It was just our families, fewer than 10 people. We wrote the whole celebration, we wrote all our vows. … I was pregnant as well."
Lara Worthington is a self-made businesswoman
Lara launched her cosmetic line, The Base by Lara Bingle, in November 2014, just a month before getting married. The brand initially offered a range of products from tanning mousse to body oil. However, in 2019, she rebranded the company to Share The Base and shifted to operate as a nonprofit organization, opting to donate 100 per cent of net proceeds to select charity partners.
Lara Worthington is a doting mom to three
Sam and Lara are parents to three beautiful boys. The couple kept their first pregnancy a secret until the arrival of their firstborn, Rocket Zot, on March 24, 2015. The couple became parents again in October 2016, with the birth of their son, whom they named Racer, followed by River in early 2020. During a conversation on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Sam reflected on his kid's name and was quoted as saying:
"Obviously, we didn't get past the 'R' in the book. But yeah, we couldn't really have 'Rocket' and 'Sam' or 'George.' I wanted them to mean something, so Rocket means to ascend; Racer comes from a poem about a kid who embraces life and being part of the human race. At the moment, they think my job is Dad, and that's all that matters."
When Lara Worthington gave Sam Worthington an ultimatum about his drinking
In 2022, Sam opened up about his addiction story and credited Lara for helping him get sober. The actor recalled that after the success of the 2009 film, Avatar, his drinking got really bad. He shared that he would have four or five glasses of Champagne before a flight, and Lara would tell him that she had not seen anyone drink so much before the plane even took off.
Sam told Variety that while he couldn't see it as a problem, he didn't like who he was, and drinking would get him through the day. However, Lara eventually had had enough and told him, "You can do what you want, but I don't need to be around this". Her ultimatum was what Sam needed to get sober, and he has been since then.
