BLACKPINK's Lisa is once again at the center of dating rumors, and this time, the K-pop superstar has been linked to Thai sensation Blue Pongtiwat. The new buzz arrived just months after fans speculated that Lisa had broken up with her billionaire boyfriend, Frédéric Arnault. 

Why are Lisa and Blue Pongtiwat being romantically linked?

The latest buzz appears to have gained traction after Blue was reportedly present at Lisa's birthday celebration earlier this year. Lisa had shared photos from the occasion with the caption, "The last of my 20s with my favorite people," while Blue later posted photos of himself with the BLACKPINK star, including pictures of the two posing together on a beach.

Those posts have now resurfaced as social media users attempt to connect the dots between the two stars. Many have claimed that the pair has spent time together in Thailand, Hong Kong and Japan, with some even alleging that they have attended family celebrations together.

However, there is no public confirmation that these alleged meetings were romantic in nature. Neither Lisa nor Blue has confirmed that they are dating, and the claims circulating online remain unverified speculation. They are known to be good friends.

Lisa's dating rumors come after her split buzz with Frédéric Arnault

The speculation surrounding Blue comes amid renewed questions about Lisa's relationship with French businessman Frédéric Arnault. During her June 2026 interview with Vanity Fair, when asked whether she had been a ‘heartbreaker’, the 29-year-old star responded by saying, "No, I’m the one who got that a lot, I feel like I got heartbroken a lot." She reportedly became too emotional to complete her statement at that time.

The K-pop superstar further offered insight into her personal life and the need for privacy, saying, "I feel like after I came out and talked about how there’s no privacy for me, fans now respect that a lot more. Sometimes it’s just a little too much, and sometimes I just want to be normal."

The breakup rumors surfaced in March 2026, around the same time when Lisa started getting linked with Blue. Fans noticed that Lisa's billionaire boyfriend was MIA from her birthday party, and it was unusual, given that Arnault often accompanied the singer in her outings. Still, she has never publicly confirmed that she and Arnault were a couple or that they have officially broken up.

Who is Blue Pongtiwat?

Blue Pongtiwat, whose full name is Pongtiwat Tangwancharoen, is a Thai actor, singer and model who has steadily built a name in Thailand's entertainment industry. Born in 2000, he is three years younger than Lisa and began acting at a young age. His credits include the 2019 film Love and Run and television projects such as Reminders, You Are My Heartbeat and The Family.

Blue gained international attention after starring as 'Son Methapitak' in Netflix's 2024 Thai romantic comedy Ready, Set, Love. The six-episode series is set in a fictional world where men have become scarce and women compete in a government-run dating competition. His other projects include Intern in My Heart and School Lunch Attack: It's MEP Time, which helped him establish an international following.

Some fans have even dubbed Blue "Thailand's Cha Eun-woo" because of his appearance. Neither Lisa nor Blue Pongtiwat has addressed the dating rumors.
