The actor recently shared the first song he played for his baby girl, and fans can’t stop gushing over it. In true Kapoor style, Ranbir introduced Raha to the world of music with a timeless classic from his grandfather, Raj Kapoor’s iconic film, Anari.

Ranbir Kapoor once again proved why he’s loved by people from all generations. The actor recently graced the stage at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. Talking about his baby girl, Ranbir recalled how he made Raha’s musical debut with the Kapoor family's evergreen charm. The first song he played for Raha was none other than the Mukesh classic, Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisaar from his grandfather, Raj Kapoor’s 1959 film, Anari. Talking about the song’s significance, Ranbir shared:

“If you hear the lyrics of the song, it is so simple, and it’s definitely a great philosophy to live your life by.”
We cannot think of a better way to introduce a Kapoor heir to the world of music and into the family’s legacy. In the event, Ranbir even went on to hum the iconic track, leaving the audience in awe as he had his proud dad moment. It’s safe to say that Raha, just like her dad and legendary grandpa, is starting her journey in style.

Ranbir Kapoor announced a Raj Kapoor Film Festival and recalled how Alia Bhatt didn’t recognise Kishore Kumar
Later on in the event, Ranbir made an exciting announcement to the press, that is, to organise a Raj Kapoor Film Festival on the occasion of the legendary actor’s 100th birth anniversary on December 14, 2024. The festival is scheduled from December 13 to 15 across India, and will showcase restored versions of 10 of Raj Kapoor’s most iconic films. This initiative will once again introduce timeless classic films like Mera Naam Joker and Shree 420, now beautifully restored and ready for a new generation to enjoy. Ranbir announced:
“We are going to organise the Raj Kapoor Film Festival from December 13-December 15 all over India. We will show the restored version of 10 films of Raj Kapoor’s films.”

Ranbir Kapoor further shared a memory from his personal life. The Animal actor recalled the first time he met his wifey, Alia Bhatt, and she didn’t know who Kishore Kumar was. This was another reason that he urged everyone, especially the younger generation, to attend the film festival. In Ranbir’s words:
“I hope you guys come as well. I remember the first time I met Alia, she asked me ‘Who's Kishore Kumar?’. It's just a circle of life, people are forgotten. It's important we remember our roots”
Ever since Ranbir and Alia welcomed Raha to the world in 2022, they can’t stop themselves from gushing over their little munchkin with her adorable antics, and rightfully so. At just two years old, Raha has already captured everyone’s hearts, and we can’t wait for more heartwarming stories like this one to emerge in the years to come.
