Taylor Swift's USD 30 million wedding to Travis Kelce is back in the headlines after pictures related to the celebration went viral. Now, days later, sources have revealed that the singer is furious about the leak. Amid the buzz, another source has also shared what happened to the decoration that was used for Taylor and Travis' July 2026 wedding.
Taylor Swift is not happy about her and Travis Kelce's wedding pictures being leaked
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tied the knot on July 3, 2026, at Madison Square Garden. However, the couple never shared any pictures from the celebration, despite the intense buzz around their union. Nonetheless, that was short-lived, as three months later, the singer's wedding pictures were allegedly leaked by the Daily Mail.
Now, a source has revealed why Taylor didn't want the pictures to go public. In a conversation with Naughty But Nice, a source explained that Taylor Swift has spent years building a connection with her fans. However, the Look What You Made Me Do singer knows how someone's image can turn overnight, especially amid the current economic uncertainty; she didn't want her fans to get the wrong idea about her decision to have her dream wedding.
Another reason Taylor kept her wedding private was that she grew up under the spotlight, with most of her life out for the world to comment on. Many fans believe that the singer wanted to have this for herself. So, when the pictures were leaked earlier this week, she was livid, as the guests and workers had all reportedly signed nondisclosure agreements, and the photographs were never supposed to become public. The source said:
"Taylor was furious because this was supposed to be a tightly controlled, private celebration. Everyone had been told to keep quiet, and the NDAs were there for a reason. She never expected those images to get out."
Another source said Taylor went to great lengths to keep her wedding private, so the leak feels like a betrayal. The source alleged that something like this can make people question who they can trust. Several reasons may explain keeping the official wedding pictures under wraps, but the leak has made controlling the narrative considerably harder. The source was quoted as saying:
"Taylor understands that controlling the image is part of protecting the brand. Sometimes, what you choose not to show the world becomes a bigger story than anything you reveal."
Why did Taylor Swift allegedly have her wedding decor burned?
According to a source, Taylor Swift's team was instructed to make sure everything was "disposed" of after the ceremony and that there were no "traces" left behind. Talking to the Daily Mail, the source revealed that the couple didn't want people to steal the decor items and try to auction or sell them. And to ensure no such thing happens, the custom-built decor was ordered to be burned. The source added:
"They had told us it was going to be incinerated, but I don't know where they actually physically incinerated it. The fact that no one has relics of it and it all had to get burned and properly disposed of is kind of crazy. Eleven semi-trucks to transport cross-country and then just burn it all down was pretty wild, just because you don't want people [to have access to it]."
The source further revealed that Taylor Swift didn't make the request herself. However, she helped plan and design the ceremony because she "didn't want to just be handed a wedding."
