Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.

Naija News reports that Portable, in a video shared via his social media page, threatened fellow Yorubas with spiritual judgment if they do not vote for Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

The singer said Tinubu should be re-elected because Nigerians need peace.

Portable, who claimed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has contacted him to campaign for Tinubu, placed curses on any Yoruba who works against the President’s re-election.

He said, “We need peace, we want peace. If you don’t want war in Nigeria, you better vote for Tinubu.

“Thunder and Ogun will strike any Yoruba man who doesn’t. I have been signed, given APC clothes — don’t worry, I wll soon start sharing rice and vegetable oil.”

Meanwhile, Portable recently stirred controversy by questioning the career trajectories of artistes who leave Mavin Records.

In a video that quickly went viral, he suggested a partnership with music executive Don Jazzy and raised doubts about why some former signees no longer dominate the music scene.

Portable singled out popular artistes linked to the label, claiming that even rising star Rema has lost prominence while noting that Tiwa Savage remains successful.

He directly called on Don Jazzy to collaborate with him, implying that proper guidance from the label could boost his career.
