Bago Region wins two awards at 23rd China-ASEAN Expo 2026

Bago Region has won two awards at the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo 2026, held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, from September 17 to 21.

The expo was attended by Chinese Vice Premier H.E. Ding Xuexiang, Myanmar Vice President (1) U Nyo Saw, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, and senior officials from ASEAN countries.

Bago Region presented its capital, Bago City, under the “City of Charm” programme. Performances featuring traditional Myanmar culture, including Pyu cultural dances, Kabyar Lut dance, traditional Thingyan dance and Myanmar Thanaka cultural performances, were also staged at the pavilion.

A total of 81 product booths were set up at the expo, including 10 booths showcasing products from Bago Region and 71 booths from other regions and states. The displays aimed to expand market access for Bago’s agricultural products in China and ASEAN countries, promote tourism in the region, attract foreign investment and encourage the production of value-added products.

Bago Region received the Best Exhibition Organizer award and the Best National Pavilion award at the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo 2026, according to reports.
