More Stars Are Signing Up for the Ocean’s Mission

Vicky Krieps, George MacKay, Lauren Ridloff, Jack Holden, and Omar Sy are joining the crew for the upcoming Ocean’s Eleven prequel, per THR. All five have theater backgrounds, which is perfect for a period-piece heist movie. The premise is begging for those capable of delivering big expressions to capture what the F1 drama would have been like in the 1960s. And you thought Drive to Survive was dramatic. While it’s unclear which roles the actors are playing, given how many cast members have already been announced, we most likely have the 11 mischievous thieves lurking among us. The newcomers will be joining Bradley Cooper, Margot Robbie, Wagner Moura, Monica Barbaro, and Josh Gad for the heist of a lifetime; Moura plays our big villain.

Written and directed by Cooper, the film follows him and Robbie as Danny Ocean’s parents at the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix. It’s an origin story that shows where Ocean gets his sticky fingers. Robbie is producing through her LuckyChap production company. We’ll see if the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.
