Matt Berry Joins Voice Cast of Skyrim As Kallax Storageborn
by Bethy Squires · VULTURENot in our wildest “Vulture Bets on Berry” dreams did we see this coming. Ikea and Bethesda Game Studios have come together to finally solve The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s biggest problem: resource management. Hauling crap throughout Tamriel has been the bane of many a gamer’s existence. But no longer. Enter Kallax Storageborn, a sentient shelf companion for your Last Dragonborn. According to IGN, developer Kinggath Creations has made a brand-new quest for the 15-year-old game “with two new Ikea-themed dungeons and a boss fight against the Clutter Golem.” Kallax Storageborn also comes with a Meatball Helmet, meatball food items, and the Dwemer Allen Key weapon, bringing a whole new meaning to “Ikea hacks.”
“At Ikea, we believe in creating a better everyday life for the many people — and why shouldn’t that include their digital lives?” Ikea marketing-communications manager Kemi Anthony said in a statement. “Skyrim possesses one of the largest modding communities in gaming, and we saw a space where our expertise in functional storage could make a real difference in this fantasy world.” Anthony says Berry was brought onto the project because his “distinctive, legendary voice brings theatrics, booming authority, and charm to the new Creation.” We couldn’t have said it better.
