Would You Like Some Vulture Festival With Your Tribeca Festival? Well, Here’s Our Lineup.
by Zoë Haylock · VULTURETribeca Festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary in June, and Vulture is delighted to be playing a small part in it: We’re hosting Vulture Festival at Tribeca Festival, which will feature two days of our favorite actors, artists, and agents of chaos.
Jason Bateman will start us off on June 13 with a live podcast recording of Good One, then cede the floor to two generations of Handmaid’s Tale actresses: Elisabeth Moss will pass the torch to Chase Infiniti and Lucy Halliday, stars of Hulu’s new spinoff, The Testaments.
On June 14, Tracy Morgan and the creators and writers of The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins will receive our Roomy Award, given to the year’s Best Writers’ Room, and we’ll end the festivities with Maddie’s Secret writer-director-star John Early and Alison Roman cooking … something … and having a nice chat.

Good One With Jason Bateman
5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 13, SVA-02
There haven’t been many careers like Jason Bateman’s: From child actor to generation-defining comedic straight man to award-winning dramatic actor and director on top of being a prolific producer and co-host of one of the biggest podcasts ever. The multihyphenate will be sitting down in conversation with Vulture senior writer and author of Comedy Book Jesse David Fox for an episode of Fox’s Good One podcast to discuss how he carved his path in Hollywood and still strives to refine his creative voice.
Passing the Torch Between the Past and Future of The Handmaid’s Tale
8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, SVA-01
Elisabeth Moss, Chase Infiniti, and Lucy Halliday are coming to Tribeca to celebrate the first season of The Testaments, the next chapter in Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale story. The three will discuss taking on these roles and what both shows’ dystopian satire means to them in this current cultural moment. Join us to witness Moss, who starred on the original series for six seasons, hand the franchise and its ever-relevant universe over to Infiniti and Halliday.
The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins Receives Vulture’s Roomy Award
2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 14, SVA-01
Vulture is bestowing the writing staff of NBC’s The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins — the newest show in the joke-rich Tina Fey Television Universe — with the coveted Roomy Award, given to the year’s Best Writers’ Room. Co-creators Robert Carlock and Sam Means, who are veterans of shows such as Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, will accept the award along with members of their writing staff. They will be joined by Dinkins star and all-time great reader of jokes Tracy Morgan.
John Early and Alison Roman Make Something Simple
5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 14, SVA-01
Comedian-actor (and now writer-director) John Early and cook-author Alison Roman are inviting you over for a conversation about Maddie’s Secret, Early’s new feature-film satire of food-content-creator culture. They’re going to make something to eat but don’t want to make a big fuss. It’ll be quick and easy — maybe a drink and a very casual snack. Will it be crispy, crunchy, lemony, and jammy? Join them and find out.
