Sean Combs’s Release Date Was Moved Up Again
by Alejandra Gularte · VULTURESean Combs is getting his sentence shortened. His release date was just moved up to February 23, 2028, US Weekly reports. His original release date of June 4, 2028, has been moved up several times, most recently to April 25, 2028. He was serving a 50-month sentence for prostitution‑related charges and is currently at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey. The Netflix documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning followed his life and career leading up to his arrest.
Last week, Judge Katherine Polk Failla dismissed Danity Kane’s Dawn Richard’s lawsuit against Combs because the statute of limitations expired. “Mr. Combs’s conduct for which Plaintiff sues — while indisputably odious — ceased in 2011 or 2012,” the ruling explained. “Plaintiff does not allege that Mr. Combs committed any tortious conduct against her again in the 12 or 13 years before she filed suit.” She accused Combs of abuse, manipulation, and violence in the dismissed lawsuit. Richard left Danity Kane in 2020. “We certainly agree with the Judge that the allegations in this case are execrable,” Richard’s lawyer Arick Fudali told Rolling Stone. “We are encouraged and look forward to pursuing our primary claim filed under the gender motivated violence act in State Court in NYC, per the judge’s decision. We intend to continue to fight for Dawn until justice is achieved.”
