The 2026 Actor Awards Nominations

by · VULTURE

Welcome, everyone, to the 2026 Actor Awards. Confused Movie Fantasy League participants might remember them better as the SAG Awards. The award show was renamed this November to align with the “Actor” statuette, which the ceremony gives out to all awardees. The inaugural class of Actor Award nominees was announced today by Abbott Elementary star Janelle James and Heated Rivalry’s Connor Storrie, ahead of a March 1 ceremony on Netflix.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another is leading the pack with a total of seven nominations, including at least one in every film category. It’s followed by Sinners, which scored a healthy five nods. Meanwhile, Oscar hopefuls Frankenstein, Hamnet, and Marty Supreme each nabbed three. The most notably blanked film is Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value, which scored zero nominations. Then again, no film in a foreign language was nominated for anything this year, including The Secret Agent, which is expected to score a Best Actor nomination for Wagner Moura. Hey, who ever said actors liked reading subtitles?

In TV, The Studio took home the most nominations, with five, while The White Lotus and Adolescence were close behind with four each. Now, which actor will win an Actor?
