Robert Kelker-Kelly, Soap Opera Star, Dead at 62

The outlet reported that he died on October 3, and there is currently no cause of death. Kelker-Kelly began his decades-long television career as Sam Fowler on Another World in 1987 and stayed in the role for three years. Two years later, he began one of his most notable roles as a new recast for Bo Brady, eventually winning the 1994 Soap Opera Digest Award for the role. Alongside Kristian Alfonso and Lisa Rinna, the trio became one of the show’s most popular storylines and one of the most stressful environments for the actors. “Behind the scenes, we hated each other,” Rinna detailed in her memoir earlier this year. “Remember when Kathy Hilton said I was the biggest bully in Hollywood? Not true. Not even close! I have legit stories about the real bullies in this town. Robert Kelker-Kelly is one of those bullies.” Kelker-Kelly never addressed Rinna’s allegations. After Days of Our Lives, Kelker-Kelly moved on to his next soap opera role as Stavros Cassadine on General Hospital.
Besides acting, he was a commercial pilot for over a decade and made reprised his soap opera roles occasionally until 2014.
