Oprah Is Bringing Ocean Vuong to the Sphere

You know what they say! What happens in Vegas … is briefly gorgeous? Oprah Winfrey is coming to Las Vegas megatheater “the Sphere” with a new show called Oprah Winfrey’s AHA. According to a press release, the show will be a “brand-new visual, musically immersive symphony of senses,” which is both confusing and intriguing. She’s bringing along with her a very Oprah list of collaborators who are, of course, dignified and prestigious. AHA will feature “groundbreaking” performances by seven-time Grammy Award winner Jacob Collier, writer Ocean Vuong, folk singer Ajeet, and gospel singer Wintley Phipps. It will also feature musical direction by Oscar nominee Max Richter (Hamnet), direction by Ethan Tobman (Taylor Swift: The End of an Era), and will be written by Tarell Alvin McCraney (Moonlight).

The “first look” video gives a little bit more description as to what to expect from AHA, which it turns out was titled after Winfrey visited the Sphere to see U2 and had an “aha moment.” “What if this magnificent space could take us to the edge of the universe and deep within ourselves for an immersive symphony of awe, wonder, and joy?” Oprah asks. “Aha!” This is all played alongside videos of nature, people doing yoga, and walking in the woods, etc. The show will last just one weekend, from April 2–4 in 2027. Get ready to have your own aha moment.
