Fast & Furious Will See You Again on Television

by · VULTURE

A new show all about family is coming to Peacock. A Fast & Furious television series has been greenlit by the streamer. Sons of Anarchy’s Mike Daniels and Shades of Blue’s Wolfe Coleman are co-showrunners for the series. The confirmation comes five months after Vin Diesel announced it was in development at the NBC Upfronts in May. Originally, the F&F team had more ideas in the works but it looks like they are living life a quarter mile at a mile, at least when it comes to development. “The news that I have here today is that Peacock is launching four shows from the ‘Fast and Furious’ universe,” Diesel said at the time of the original announcement in May; NBC has only confirmed one series so far. Peacock is planning for a 2028 premiere, the same year Fast Forever, the 11th and final installment of the Fast & Furious film franchise, will premiere. Executive producers include Diesel, Sam Vincent, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Chris Morgan.

There’s no information on what the show will be about, except that it’s in the world of Dominic Toretto, whether or not he’s in the show. In a world that escalated from criminals planning a heist to steal DVD players to flying in a rocketship to space, anything’s possible.
