Give Us the Billie Cut!

Even Billie Eilish fans don’t really like the music video for her song “Birds of a Feather,” off Hit Me Hard and Soft, in which she spins around like a dreidel while sitting on an office chair. After the music video dropped on September 27, the general sentiment was best symbolized by one fan tweeting, “I’ll just pretend that the birds of a feather music video doesn’t exist.” Directed by Aidan Zamiri, of “Guess” remix fame, the video was notable for not being directed by Eilish herself, as most of her videos are. In an October 8 Vogue profile, Eilish revealed that there was a different version of the video that she scrapped. “I was like, this ain’t it,” Eilish said. She didn’t elaborate on what the video looked like, how much it cost, or why she threw it out, but she was halfway through editing it when she decided it wasn’t “it.” Okay, but maybe we should let everybody else decide that, though? Like, maybe you could release the other one and then see what’s up?
