Another Shame! Six-Year-Old Hospitalised After ‘Rape’ In Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: A six-year old girl was allegedly raped at Trisulia in Barang in Odisha’s Cuttack district while her parents were away for work.

The girl has been admitted to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Paediatrics (Sishubhawan) in Cuttack in a critical condition.

Parents of the victim, natives of Nayagarh, worked at a brick klin at Trisulia. They alleged that a 16-year-old, who hails from Jharkhand, had committed the crime.

Barang police have registered a case and raids are being conducted to nab the culprit. “The accused is from Jharkhand and was working in Trisulia. A manhunt has been launched to nab him,” Cuttack DCP Jagmohan Meena said.

Earlier this month, six individuals, including a minor, were arrested in the district for allegedly raping a 19-year-old college student multiple times and videographing the act. One among the accused was the college student’s boyfriend.
