by Entertainment Desk · The Indian Express · JoinThe Raja Saab, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu Box Office Collection Update: This Pongal, two big films — Prabhas’ The Raja Saab and Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu — clashed at the box office. The films released three days apart and while Prabhas’s film saw a steep fall after a big start, Chiranjeevi’s film is growing steadily at the box office.
After a big start, Prabhas’ The Raja Saab is now struggling at the box office. The film opened with a massive 100+ crore gross, but its earnings soon dropped below Rs 10 crore, collecting Rs 6.6 crore on Monday, the fourth day of its release. The film’s collection further fell in the following days. As per Sacnilk, Prabhas’ The Raja Saab earned Rs 5.25 crore on Wednesday, despite the Makar Sankranti holiday. Its total domestic collection has reached Rs 125.12 crore within six days of release.

The film is now struggling to cross the Rs 200 crore mark. Sacnilk reports that the film’s worldwide business has reached Rs 182 crore gross during its six-day run in theatres. The Raja Saab is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 300 crore, and the film needs to perform significantly better to recover its cost. However, the current trend is not looking favourable for that outcome.
Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab also stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, and others in key roles.
Meanwhile, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu has earned considerably more than Prabhas’ film at the box office, minting Rs 19.5 crore on Wednesday. The film’s total domestic collection has reached Rs 79.85 crore within just three days of its release.
On the international front, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu has emerged as a massive success, particularly in the North American circuit. The film stormed past the $2 million (Rs 18 crore) milestone within just two days of its release. The total worldwide gross collection of Chiranjeevi’s film stands at Rs 98.15 crore within the first two days of tracking, out of which the total overseas collection currently stands at Rs 26 crore. The film’s reported budget is Rs 200 crore.

Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu Movie update: Chiranjeevi starrer 'a typical Anil Ravipudi movie'
X user @satya_murthy shared Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu Movie review that read, "Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is a typical Anil Ravipudi movie rather than a Chiranjeevi one—where Chiranjeevi allowed the director to go all in with his humorous one-liners, slapstick comedy, and even his lucky mascot Venkatesh in a special role. Chiranjeevi looks fit but bit aged but delivers what his fans expect! Overall, it’s a good entertainer that you don’t regret watching in theaters."

The Raja Saab Movie Update: Prabhas film will cross Rs 200 mark?
Sacnilk shared in a report that Prabhas-starrer's worldwide gross collection stands around Rs 169+ crores, while the film The Raja Saab is struggling to reach the Rs 200 crores mark, which is not a milestone anymore for top stars. The Sankranthi holidays may still take it past the double century, but that won't be enough, as it needs way more than that to justify the big budget and star power.
