Golden Globe Awards 2026 Winners LIVE Updates: The 83rd Golden Globe Awards have concluded after celebrating the best in film and American television in 2025. This edition of the ceremony saw Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another and Jack Thorne-Stephen Graham’s Adolescence tie for the most wins with four each. While director Chloé Zhao’s biographical historical drama Hamnet was named Best Motion Picture – Drama, One Battle After Another took home the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. Renowned stand-up comedian and actor Nikki Glaser served as the show’s host, marking her second consecutive appearance.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian historical political thriller film The Secret Agent clinched two major awards — Best Motion Picture: Non-English Language and Best Actor in a Motion Picture: Drama (Wagner Moura) — leaving a strong impression. Besides Best Picture, Hamnet also earned Jessie Buckley the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama.

Other major winners include Marty Supreme’s Timothée Chalamet (Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy), If I Had Legs I’d Kick You’s Rose Byrne (Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy), The Pitt (Best Television Series – Drama), The Studio (Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy), The Pitt’s Noah Wyle (Best Actor in a Television Series – Drama), Pluribus’ Rhea Seehorn (Best Actress in a Television Series – Drama), The Studio’s Seth Rogen (Best Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy), and Hacks’ Jean Smart (Best Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy).

While the Cecil B DeMille Award was presented to legendary English actor Helen Mirren, the Carol Burnett Award went to renowned actor-producer Sarah Jessica Parker.

Although no Indian project bagged any nominations this time, it’s not like the country won’t have any presence at the event, as actor-producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas was one of the award presenters. The 83rd annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony began at 6.30 am IST on Monday, January 12 (5 pm PT, 8 pm ET on January 11), with the event streaming live on Jio Hotstar and Lionsgate Play.

In the last and biggest win of the night, director Chloé Zhao's biographical historical drama Hamnet took home the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Drama. Hollywood superstar George Clooney presented this award. Starring Jessie Buckley, Paul Mescal, Emily Watson, and Joe Alwyn in key roles, the movie was co-produced by cinema legend Steven Spielberg.

Speaking on the occasion, Spielberg said, "I loved the book (Maggie O'Farrell's 2020 novel of the same title), but I felt there was only one filmmaker on the face of the planet who could tell this story of Anya's and Will and the spirits of the earth and forest and that was the exceptional, exceptional, exceptional Chloé Zhao."

While addressing the attendees, Zhao recalled Paul Mescal's words to her earlier in the day. He apparently told her that the most important part of being an artiste was learning to be vulnerable enough to be seen and how to give yourself wholly to the world.

She added, "I just want to say that the village of Hamnet made this film together. Many... some of them lost their loved ones while making this film and some of them are still struggling... So we just want to say we’re thinking of you, we’re here because of you and we love you and miss you."
