Gospel music legend Bernice Offei is dead

She reportedly died on the morning of Saturday, September 12, 2026.
Her death comes days after she was briefly reported missing on September 1, 2026, after she was last seen in Accra.
However, within 24 hours, her family and local authorities confirmed that she had been found safe and sound.
Offei leaves behind a music career that included six studio albums.
Her sixth album, Life, released in 2007, earned her two major honours at the 2009 Ghana Music Awards.
She won Best Female Vocal Performance and Songwriter of the Year for the album, adding to her reputation as one of the notable voices in Ghanaian gospel music.
