Tyla beats Davido, others to win Best African Music Performance

The ceremony was hosted by comedian Trevor Noah, marking his sixth and final time as Grammy host.
Tyla claimed the award with her song “Push 2 Start,” beating a strong field of nominees that included Davido and Omah Lay’s “With You,” Burna Boy’s “Love,” Ayra Starr and Wizkid’s “Gimme Dat,” and Eddy Kenzo with Mehran Matin’s “Hope & Love.”
This win makes Tyla a two-time Grammy winner, after her first success at last year’s ceremony.
The 2026 Grammy Awards featured major victories across global music genres. Bad Bunny won Album of the Year for Debí Tirar Más Fotos, making history as the first all-Spanish-language album to win that top honour.
Kendrick Lamar also had a big night. He earned multiple awards, including Best Rap Album for GNX, helping him extend his record as one of the most awarded rappers in Grammy history.
The event showcased a range of winners from different backgrounds. Olivia Dean was named Best New Artist, while Lady Gaga and others picked up awards in major categories across the evening.
The 68th Annual Grammy Awards were broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+, bringing the music industry’s biggest night to audiences around the world.
