Ghanaian gospel musician Bernice Offei has been reported missing after she was last seen around Nyaho-Tamakloe Street in the Agbogba area of Accra on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Public alerts issued on Wednesday, September 2, said the 63-year-old musician has not been located since she was last seen in the area.

Offei is a veteran figure in Ghanaian gospel music and has released six studio albums throughout her career.

Her 2007 album, Life, received widespread critical acclaim and produced one of her best-known songs, Life Is Short, a reflective gospel track centred on the brevity of human life.

She also recorded Hold On, originally released in 1991, and Kaa Shei Gbeyei, both of which became widely loved songs among gospel music listeners.

Her contribution to Ghanaian gospel music has also earned her major recognition.

At the 10th edition of the Ghana Music Awards, now known as the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, in 2009, she won the Best Female Vocal Performance and Songwriter of the Year awards.
