Country singer and actress Dolly Parton has announced through social media her Vegas residency is cancelled due to her ongoing health concerns.

"My immune system and my digestive system got all out of whack over the past couple of years," the Jolene singer said in a video posted on Instagram and X.

The 80-year-old said the good news is that she's "improving every day" while the bad news is that she needs more time to recover and is not well enough to perform on stage.

"The meds and treatments make me a little swimmy-headed, as my grandma used to say," Parton said.

She joked about how she could not carry banjos, walk in her high heels, wear her heavy rhinestone outfits or have her hair big if she's dizzy on stage.

"Thank you for standing by me and showing me so much love and support over the past year. I’ve still got some healing to do, but I am on my way! See you soon," she wrote in the Instagram video caption.

In 2025, the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and 9 to 5 star experienced health issues that led to the first postponement of her Vegas residency that was scheduled near the end of the year.

However, Parton quickly reassured fans in an Instagram video that her health issues weren't serious after her sister requested prayers for the country singer.

"I ain’t dead yet!" Parton captioned a video of her speaking to fans.

She told fans that "she's not dying" but did need treatment for kidney stones.

Parton's now-cancelled Vegas residency was slated for September 17-26 this year.
