The concert was hosted by Apitainment, an Abuja-based lifestyle and entertainment platform.

Currently signed to Chocolate City Music, Young Jonn, born John Saviours Udombosoa, has long been known for shaping hits from behind the mixing board.

But on Sunday night, he proved why his transition to centre-stage artiste is one of the most compelling stories in Nigerian music today.

The evening began slowly with opening acts, but by the early hours of Monday, all eyes were on Young Jonn.

When he mounted the stage, the atmosphere shifted instantly. The youthful crowd, pressed against the barricades, erupted in cheers and raised phone flashlights high, bathing the venue in a sea of light.

Drawing from a setlist of his most popular tracks, Young Jonn performed songs that chronicle his evolution from hitmaker to headline act. Fans sang along to every word, feeding off his soul-soothing vocals and confident stage presence.

“This is just the beginning,” he declared, as he moved seamlessly through his catalogue, keeping the atmosphere charged from start to finish.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Neo Akpofure also made a brief appearance as the concert ended on a euphoric note.
