A video of Funke Akindele ignoring Toyin Abraham at a movie premiere has gone viral and sparked reactions on social media.

The incident occurred at the premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s film ‘The Return of Arinzo‘ at the Balmoral Event Centre in Lagos.

In the now-viral video, Abraham was seen trying to greet Akindele, but she didn’t respond and instead kept her gaze elsewhere.

Abraham then moved to greet Ojo as she walked away from the table.

The video has sparked debates on social media, with some questioning the motive behind Akindele’s actions.

Some users argued that Akindele’s behaviour was “childish,” while others suggested Abraham shouldn’t have greeted her if they were not on good terms.

The origin of the tension between the two actresses is unclear, but there are reports of past disagreements.

In 2024, Abraham spoke about how rumours fuelled rivalry between her and Akindele, causing damage and unhealthy competition.

She added that things improved after realising they could both thrive without negativity.

Rumours of a feud between the actresses first swirled after Abraham released ‘The Ghost and the Tout Too’ in 2021.
