Prosecutors revealed in court on Thursday that images depicting child sex abuse were found on Burke’s phone and iCloud account during searches conducted under warrant.

The discovery came after the 21-year-old musician was arrested at a home in Hollywood on April 16. He is being held without bail.

D4vd faces first-degree murder with special circumstances, along with additional charge including lewd acts with a minor and mutilation of a body.

On Monday, the singer pleaded not guilty to the murder charge in his first court appearance since his arrest.

The murder case stems from the gruesome discovery of 14-year-old Hernandez’s remains inside Burke’s Tesla in September 2025.

Detectives were called to a Hollywood tow yard after reports of a foul odor coming from the impounded vehicle, which had been towed from the Hollywood Hills after appearing abandoned.

Hernandez had been reported missing in 2024 and was last seen in Lake Elsinore, about 60 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles county medical examiner’s office determined she had been dead inside the vehicle for an “extended period of time” before it was recovered.

Nathan Hochman, Los Angeles county district attorney, announced the murder charge on Monday, adding that a decision on whether to seek the death penalty will be announced at a later date.

Despite the evidence, Burke’s attorneys maintained they will defend their client’s innocence, arguing that “the evidence will show that David did not kill Celeste”.

The singer has two court hearings scheduled for April 29 and 30.
