Pete Edochie: How six politicians I prayed for in 2023 won their elections

Pete Edochie, the ace actor, has revealed that he played a spiritual role in the electoral victories of six Nigerian politicians during the 2023 general elections.

The film icon shared the revelation while hosting popular streamer Peller at his residence in Enugu.

Peller, who is currently on a nationwide tour, visited the legendary actor to seek mentorship and blessings.

Edochie recounted how six political aspirants sought his support two years ago.

“They came here to my house, they brought me a very big ram and kolanuts,” the 78-year-old said.

“I prayed for them and they all won their elections.”

Reflecting on his influence, Edochie expressed gratitude for what he described as a divine gift.

“It is something for which I thank God every day when I wake up. Each time I make a request from the Almighty, He grants it. All the people I have prayed for have succeeded in exactly what I requested for them,” he said.

The remarks come a few days after Edochie lamented the country’s rising cost of living, revealing that he spends approximately N40,000 daily on electricity and fuel alone.

“Nobody seems to be bothered about what is happening to the common man,” he ha said.

“Why must it keep getting worse every new day? Can we not improve? There was a time when the Southeast was cut off in terms of railway transportation. Why must there be such consistency in going backwards?”
