Winner to get N1.5m as Enioluwa launches essay contest for Ekiti students

Social media influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa has announced a new essay competition aimed at students in public secondary schools across Ekiti state.

In a post on his X page on Monday, Adeoluwa revealed the initiative is titled the ‘Professor Femi Adeoluwa Essay Prize’.

The topic is ‘education beyond the classroom: what should young people be taught that schools currently ignore’ and the essay is being organised in partnership with Eni’s Book Club, the literacy and reading community.

The social media celebrity revealed that the competition will award N1,500,000 to the first position, N1,000,000 to the second position, while the third prize is N500,000.

“I am incredibly proud to announce the 1st edition of the Professor Femi Adeoluwa Essay Prize. @enisbookclub is taking this initiative directly to public secondary schools in @ekitistategov,” the post reads.

The post added that the initiative, which is a tribute to Victor Olufemi Adeoluwa, Enioluwa’s dad, is open to students enrolled in public secondary schools across the state.

The media personality, however, did not share details regarding the essay commencement date and mode of application.

In 2025, Adeoluwa praised his father for his role in transforming the College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti, into Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology.

The media personality also hailed Adeoluwa for instilling values of leadership and humility in him.
