Pere Egbi, the reality star, has called out FilmOne, the film distribution company, for allegedly uploading his movie to the US streaming platform Tubi without his authorisation.

In a post via X, the former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate shared a photo of his television screen showing the title page of his film ‘The Silent Intruder’ on Tubi, the American over-the-top ad-supported streaming television service owned by Fox Corporation.

Pere insisted that he never approved its release on the platform. He also questioned how the deal was arranged and who gave the green light without his involvement.

“I was never informed of any arrangement with Tubi, and I need a clear explanation immediately. Who made this deal? Who authorized this release? Because this is unacceptable,” he wrote.

This is not the first time the reality TV star has spoken out about the 2024 film.

Previously, Pere claimed he lost N150 million on the project, which he said cost N200 million to produce.

He blamed the loss on alleged cinema favouritism, stating that the film was given limited screen time and sidelined by cinemas.
