Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has opened up about her personal preferences when it comes to choosing a partner, revealing that good looks alone won’t win her over.

During a live Twitch session with prominent Nigerian TikTok creator Jarvis, the ‘Rush’ hitmaker admitted that while everyone has a type, her ideal man isn’t defined by physical appearance.

The Mavin Records artiste, born Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, explained that being attractive means little if the person lacks basic sense or intelligence.

“Yeah, I have a type. You have to have a type,” she said. “To be honest, my type is not too physical like that because you can be fine and not have sense. It is the truth.”

Beyond her dating preferences, Ayra Starr revealed that she will soon appear in a movie, playing an entirely new character, not a version of herself.

She further opened up about a private romance that inspired her latest single ‘Where Do We Go‘.

The singer shared details of the secret relationship, including her internal struggle over whether to keep it hidden or bring it into the open.
