In a now-viral video, Ademoye is seen confronting a group of men who insisted that a specific amount must be paid before filming could proceed on location.
The actress said she stood her ground and refused to be intimidated.
Speaking in Yoruba, she said: “Omo Igboro ni mi” (I am a child of the streets), before explaining that while she understands street dynamics and often settles area boys, no one has the right to demand a fixed amount from her.
“To ba di oro street, e bere lowo won, mo ma n like kin settle awon boys, but you don’t come to me and tell me to give you a certain amount,” she added.
She questioned their sense of entitlement, adding: “Ko si iyalaya anybody to sise owo si mi lowo” — meaning Nobody has the right to forcefully demand money from me.

The actress also dismissed critics who accused her of using tears to market her films.
She rejected claims that her emotional displays are a publicity tactic, stressing that she invests significant effort and resources into her productions.
