Chike shares cryptic post amid rumour of affair with Edoho’s estranged wife

Chike, the Nigerian singer, has taken to social media to share a cryptic post amid ongoing controversy surrounding his name.

The speculation began after unverified claims emerged online alleging that the singer had an affair with Sandra Edoho, the estranged wife of television host Frank Edoho.

Last year, Frank announced that his second marriage had ended in December 2022 — an experience he described as “devastating”.

The TV host also recently declared that he will never commit to just one woman again. Last Tuesday, Edoho said he was gradually moving on from the failed marriage.

Following the breakup, rumours also surfaced alleging that Sandra had cheated on Edoho with a Nigerian singer. Although no name was mentioned, unverified social media allegations linked Chike to the matter, sparking a wave of reactions online.

In the midst of the controversy, Chike posted a brief message on his X account on Sunday: “Pity my soul”.

It remains to be seen whether the post is related to the allegations or simply the singer expressing his thoughts.

Chike began his music career in 2015 after participating in Project Fame. He was the first runner-up on The Voice of Nigeria in 2016 and went on to release ‘Fancy’, his debut single, later that same year.

The 33-year-old singer is known for his soulful and love-themed songs.

He has also explored acting, appearing in notable films like ‘Gangs of Lagos’ and ‘Battleground’.
