Singer Kim Jang Hoon is under fire after sharing a video of Mir's wedding without consent, revealing the bride's face.

On December 21, MBLAQ member Mir (real name Bang Cheol Yong) held his wedding ceremony, tying the knot with a non-celebrity. On the day of the wedding, singer Kim Jang Hoon shared a video from Mir's private wedding on social media without blurring the bride's face.

Kim Jang Hoon posted the photos with the caption, "I went to Cheol Yong's wedding, Eun Ha's younger brother, and got a reality check." In the photos, Mir was seen walking down the aisle with his bride. The controversy came because Kim Jang Hoon had publicly revealed the photos without hiding the bride's face. Even Go Eun Ah, Mir's sister, refrained from mentioning her brother's wedding on her own social media.

Some netizens criticized the post, commenting, “It was supposed to be a private wedding,” “Even the family seemed to intentionally avoid showing faces,” and “Do you really need to post without blurring if it’s private?”

As the criticism increased, Kim Jang Hoon had deleted the video from his social media. On December 22, Kim Jang Hoon posted an apology saying, "I sincerely apologize regarding the wedding video of Cheol Yong. Yesterday, I attended the wedding and sang 'Highway Romance' for them during the celebratory song segment. I enjoyed the wedding and posted a video of the bride and groom exiting the venue. I never imagined the wedding was supposed to be private."

He continued, "I didn’t realize it was a private event until my manager told me after seeing it on the news. I quickly removed the post, but by then it had already spread, and it’s impossible to retract it completely. Unaware of this, I even called to say it went well and that everything ended happily with Cheol Yong’s family. I am truly embarrassed and ashamed."

Kim Jang Hoon added, "Since resuming activities, I have tried to be extremely careful to avoid controversies, but this shows that I still failed to act my age and behaved shamefully. I am very embarrassed and sincerely sorry. I deserve all the criticism and backlash. Moving forward, I will examine, confirm, and consider everything more thoroughly to prevent such incidents from happening again."

He concluded, saying, "Although I’ve been busy and circumstances have improved recently, I always reminded myself not to be arrogant and to live humbly. Yet this happened, and I am utterly ashamed. I am deeply sorry. Especially Eun Ha, Cheol Yong, and their mother... you're all like family to me, and I feel even worse for making this mistake. From today, I will strive to become a better person, humbly reflect on myself. I am very embarrassed and sincerely apologize."

A similar incident occurred in April when singer Insooni faced backlash for posting photos from Kim Jong Min’s private wedding without blurring the bride's face. Insooni later apologized, saying, “I didn’t realize it was meant to be private. I just thought the couple looked so beautiful that I posted the photo without thinking.”

Meanwhile, Mir tied the knot with his non-celebrity partner, who is one year older, in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. Mir debuted in 2009 as part of the five-member group MBLAQ and has been active as a YouTuber since 2019.
