Lee Do Hyun joins 'Nambul' alongside Lee Byung Hun and Go Youn Jung, for hard-boiled martial arts action film
by K-Soul · allkpopActor Lee Do Hyun has joined the cast of the upcoming film 'Nambul' (working title, directed by Lee Mo Gae), where he will star alongside Lee Byung Hun and Go Youn Jung in a hard-boiled martial arts action story.
The production team announced Lee Do Hyun's casting on July 20. The actor previously worked with director Lee Mo Gae, who served as the cinematographer for the blockbuster film 'Exhuma.' 'Nambul' marks their reunion, with Lee Mo Gae making his feature directorial debut.
Lee Do Hyun will play Bo Kyung, a fearless warrior who leads the vanguard of the suppression forces and charges through enemy lines with explosive action.
Bo Kyung is also a multidimensional character known for his unwavering loyalty and deep camaraderie with his comrades. In particular, he is expected to serve as the devoted right-hand man protecting Lim Eok (played by Lee Byung Hun), the leader of the warriors.
Director Lee Mo Gae has earned acclaim for his distinctive visual style as the cinematographer behind major films including '12.12: The Day,' 'Exhuma,' 'Hunt,' 'Yadang: The Snitch,' and 'Emergency Declaration.' With Nambul, he plans to deliver a sweeping narrative paired with intense action sequences.
'Nambul' is currently in pre-production and is aiming to begin filming in the second half of this year.
