K-pop group Billlie has released their first full-length album since debut, marking a significant expansion of their musical universe, the “Billlieverse.”

Released on May 6, ‘The Collective Soul and Unconscious: Chapter 2’ encapsulates the group’s identity across 12 tracks, reflecting the growth they cultivated during a year-and-a-half hiatus.

This comeback carries added meaning as it brings together the members’ individual achievements into a unified group synergy. With member Siyoon gaining attention through her Hollywood activities and Tsuki expanding public recognition through variety appearances, Billlie returns to the stage to reaffirm their core as musicians.

The members identified “self-awareness” as the key theme of the album, defining themselves beyond external noise while committing to continuous experimentation. At the showcase held on release day, member Moon Sua described the album as “a project that signals a new beginning.”

The album’s tracks, including the title song “ZAP,” retain Billlie’s signature blend of dark fantasy and dreamy sound while exploring a wider range of genres. The extended hiatus also served to strengthen the group’s unity. Moon Sua expressed the group’s desire to constantly challenge their limits, while Tsuki shared that the members even refrained from social outings to focus on perfecting their performance.

With their first full album, the release is expected to solidify their reputation as a group listeners can trust musically.
