Kim Junsu successfully kicks off his 6th Asia tour with powerful 'GRAVITY' concert in Seoul
by Janie-Reign · allkpopKim Junsu kicked off his 2026 solo Asia tour in Seoul with an electrifying yet heartfelt concert.
As reported previously, Kim Junsu is embarking on his solo Asia tour this year, the 2026 XIA 6TH ASIA TOUR CONCERT, 'GRAVITY.' To kick off the tour, he performed at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, where he last met fans in 2016 during his 5th Asia tour concert, 'XIGNATURE.'
At the venue, Kim Junsu emotionally thanked his fans for their support, explaining that it took a full year to prepare the new album. The release proved to be a major success, earning him the highest first-week sales of his career and surpassing the record set by his first solo studio album, 'Tarantallegra,' released in 2012, by almost 10,000 copies.
He also mentioned several other achievements, humorously adding that he has "quite a few things to boast about." Kim Junsu has recently received the Acting Award in the Musical Category at the '62nd Baeksang Arts Awards,' the Musical Actor Award at the Brand Customer Loyalty Awards, and the Best Musical Actor Award at the '19th NOL Golden Ticket Awards,' which he has now won three years in a row.
The concert also featured a dynamic setlist, opening with “Beat’s Knockin,” followed by “eXtreme Love,” “HANA,” and “Pit A Pat.” The show balanced tracks from his latest release with title songs from his previous mini albums. His performances were further elevated by his signature “XIA Band,” comprising seven members, along with 17 backup dancers.
Reflecting on the album-making process, Kim Junsu shared that he experienced “worries, concerns, and anxieties” while working on the project. However, he emphasized that his “absolute priority throughout was always the fans,” despite the pressure to create a “masterpiece” worthy of his long-standing career.
Throughout the concert, Kim Junsu repeatedly expressed his gratitude to fans and emphasized that he will continue striving to give his best without pause.
His fandom, 'COCONUTS,' responded enthusiastically to his heartfelt messages, raising their lightsticks high and loudly chanting fan slogans they had prepared in less than ten days since the release of his latest album.
As one of the messages displayed in the concert VCR stated, Kim Junsu’s tour and connection with fans have redefined the keyword 'GRAVITY' not as a “force that keeps us in place, but a power that allows us to return at any given moment,” perfectly capturing the enduring bond between him and his fans despite the passage of time and changing circumstances.
Kim Junsu's 'GRAVITY' tour will continue as planned across Asia, with the next stop in Macau on June 20. The tour will continue reconnecting him with fans across different regions as he aims to reach new heights in a career that has expanded since 2003.
Not only has he proven his talents as a group member and solo singer, but he continues to establish himself as a musical actor, set to take on another title role after performing in 'Beetlejuice' and 'Death Note' earlier this year. His next musical 'Dracula' will open at the LG Arts Center Seoul on July 10 and run until October 18.
