I.O.I reunites in practice room for 10th anniversary, teases comeback activities
by Demian09 · allkpopGroup I.O.I reunited in a rehearsal room, drawing attention as the members prepare for their 10th anniversary projects.
On May 5, Jeon So Mi shared a video on her social media, revealing a long-awaited reunion of the I.O.I members. In the clip, Jeon So Mi is seen at the center alongside Lim Na Young, Kim Chung Ha, Kim Se Jeong, Jung Chae Yeon, Kim So Hye, Yoo Yeon Jung, Choi Yoo Jung, and Kim Do Yeon, forming a full group lineup.
The members can be seen practicing the choreography for their hit track “Very Very Very,” one of I.O.I’s signature songs from their debut era. I.O.I originally debuted as a project group formed through Mnet’s survival show 'Produce 101.' The group promoted from May 2016 to January 2017 before officially disbanding as planned.
Now, marking their 10th anniversary, the members have reunited for new group activities, including a special album release and an Asia tour. Their upcoming mini album, 'I.O.I : LOOP,' has already begun its rollout.
On May 4 at 6 PM KST, the pre-release track “Goodbye With A Smile (Recorded in 2016)” was released across major streaming platforms. The song was originally recorded in 2016 but had remained unreleased until now. The title track for the upcoming album is “Suddenly,” and the full mini album is set to be released on May 19.
Following the album launch, I.O.I will kick off their Asia tour with a three-day concert in Seoul at Jamsil Indoor Stadium from May 29 to 31. This reunion activity will proceed as a nine-member group, excluding former members Kwon Eun Bi and Kang Mi Na, which explains their absence from Jeon So Mi’s shared video.
