Lee Seung Gi donates entire appearance fee to support children in need through KBS ‘Accompany’ family month special

Singer and actor Lee Seung Gi has taken a meaningful step ahead of Family Month by donating his entire appearance fee to support children in need in South Korea.

On May 1, ChildFund Korea announced that Lee Seung Gi decided to donate all of his appearance fee from the special Family Month broadcast of KBS-1TV’s 'Accompany.'

Lee Seung Gi will appear on 'Accompany' on May 2, where he visits a family raising a child named Hyun Seong, who has been diagnosed with a developmental disability. During the visit, he helps tend to their family garden and discusses ways to provide further support for the child and family.

Since 2015, ChildFund Korea has partnered with KBS to introduce families with children in need through 'Accompany,' using donations from supporters to provide assistance. Lee Seung Gi previously appeared on a special Lunar New Year episode of the program in 2015.

The Family Month special episode of 'Accompany' featuring Lee Seung Gi and Hyun Seong’s family will air on May 2 at 6 p.m.
