Actress Park Shin Hye has confirmed her next project, with plans to return to screens after giving birth to her second child.

The announcement was made on June 1 during SBS's Drama Media Day event held at Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery in Mapo District, Seoul. Hong Sung Chang, CEO of Studio S, revealed that SBS is currently producing Season 2 of 'The Judge from Hell.'

"Park Shin Hye, who is currently pregnant, will return next year with 'The Judge from Hell' Season 2," Hong said. "This is the first time we are publicly announcing it."

'The Judge from Hell' is a fantasy action drama about a demon who possesses the body of a judge and punishes criminals. The series was a major success during its 2024 run, recording a peak nationwide viewership rating of 13.6 percent.

Park is set to reprise her role as Kang Bit Na, the judge who delivers justice to evildoers.

Park married fellow actor Choi Tae Joon in 2022 and welcomed their first child later that year. Earlier this year, she announced that she is expecting her second child.

With her due date scheduled for this fall, Park plans to minimize public activities for the time being and focus on her health before returning to work next year.
