Actor Lee Jun Young opened up about the prejudice he faced as an idol-turned-actor and the struggles of his early career on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block.' In the preview for the July 1 episode, the former U-KISS member shared candid stories from his path to acting.

He recalled the most painful comment he received after his acting transition: "Don't cause harm to the other actors." He said the remark reflected the stigma he faced over his idol background. He also looked back on his lean early days, including a part-time job at a convenience store to make ends meet.

"I was working at a convenience store when my manager at the time came in to buy cigarettes," he said. "I was so embarrassed that I cried a lot."

His persistence has since paid off. Lee Jun Young has become a leading man with the JTBC drama 'Rookie Chairman Kang,' which topped an 11% viewership rating. Asked about the public reaction, he laughed, "When I'm out, people call me 'Chairman Kang.'"

The episode also touched on his military enlistment, set for July 21. He gave a playful, flustered reaction when other guests appeared in military uniforms, jokingly wiping away tears at the topic. He is also set to return with the tvN drama 'Four Hands,' due in August.
