MC Mong defends Park Na Rae and Jo Se Ho, criticizing 'Stepping Down' culture in Korean entertainment industry

Rapper MC Mong has spoken out against the industry trend of forcing celebrities to leave their shows immediately after a controversy.

On December 14, MC Mong posted a long message on social media defending comedian Park Na Rae and Jo Se Ho, who are currently embroiled in serious scandals.

He criticized the public's double standards regarding celebrity punishments. "Public officials go to work the next day even after causing trouble, so I don't understand why people try to take away a celebrity's job just because they need to be scolded," he wrote.

He also pointed out that old jokes are often dug up to attack stars, referencing past comments by Lee Hyo Ri and Yang Se Chan about Park Na Rae's drinking habits. "Those were private jokes. Why is everyone walking on eggshells now?"

He advised Park Na Rae and Jo Se Ho not to hide behind their agencies or silence. "If you did something wrong, apologize cleanly. If you are innocent, state the facts," he urged. "Get punished if you broke the law, but don't hide. Come back later and make us laugh again."

The post was deleted shortly after being uploaded.

Meanwhile, Jo Se Ho stepped down from his shows following rumors linking him to an organized crime group running an illegal gambling site, a claim his agency has strongly denied.
