KBS has stepped up to address the abrupt cancellation of 'Music Bank in Madrid', announced last Friday, September 13 by Real Madrid CF and Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Last week, Real Madrid CF stated that Santiago Bernabéu Stadium will temporarily stop holding concerts due to noise complaints from locals. This included 'Music Bank in Madrid', originally scheduled to take place on October 12 and featuring ENHYPEN, aespa, BOYNEXTDOOR, RIIZE, NMIXX, KISS OF LIFE, MAMAMOO+, and P1Harmony

In response, on September 19 KST, KBS released an official statement to clarify that 'Music Bank in Madrid' had been cancelled unilaterally by Real Madrid without prior agreement from the local organizers or KBS. Meanwhile, thousands of fans who had purchased tickets for the event have been rallying online to demand that the concert resume as planned.

KBS revealed, "We demand an official explanation and an apology from Real Madrid. Additionally, we also request that Real Madrid offer an official explanation and apology to the thousands of K-Pop fans deeply disappointed by the cancellation, as well as to the K-Pop artists who left other commitments to fulfill their promise of meeting their fans in Spain."

While calling on Real Madrid take full ethical and financial responsibility for the losses suffered, KBS also made clear its intentions to work together with the stadium to reschedule the concert.
