Why has Won Bin not acted since 2010? TV host reveals the reason

Actor Won Bin has not appeared in a movie or drama for 16 years since his massive 2010 hit 'The Man from Nowhere'. On June 27, veteran actor Park Geun Hyung talked about this long break on the MBN TV show 'Kim Ju Ha's Day & Night'.

Park remembered working with Won Bin in the 2000 drama 'Kkokji'. Back then, Park scolded the young actor to cut his hair and practice his pronunciation. Won Bin listened, worked hard, and became a top star. Park shared that he feels very sad seeing Won Bin waste his talent and constantly tells him to start acting again.

TV host Kim Ju Ha, who is friends with Won Bin, explained why he has been away for so long. She shared that Won Bin feels his image from 'The Man from Nowhere' was too strong, which is why he is not getting many casting offers. She added that he is currently growing his hair long, just waiting to see what kind of role he might get next.

Hearing this, Park advised that Won Bin needs to challenge himself with new, powerful roles to change his image. Currently, Won Bin only appears in TV commercials. He married actress Lee Na Young in 2015 and they have a son. Many fans and older actors are still hoping he will return to the screen soon.
