Gary gets emotional over fan letter 10 years after leaving ‘Running Man’

On April 27, Gary posted a photo on his social media account featuring a handwritten note believed to be from a fan. The letter read, “During the broadcast of 'Running Man,' Gary was my favorite. It’s so heartwarming to see you with your family. I hope you are always healthy and happy.”
In response, Gary expressed his gratitude with a simple caption, “So touching,” accompanied by a heart emoji.
Gary previously made headlines after suddenly announcing a hiatus from entertainment activities. In 2016, he stepped down from the SBS variety show 'Running Man,' where he had been a regular cast member. Shortly after his departure, he revealed news of his marriage. At the time, it was reported that there had been limited communication with fellow cast members, leaving some, including Song Ji Hyo and Yoo Jae Suk, expressing their disappointment on air.
About four years later, in 2020, Gary returned to television through the KBS2 variety show 'The Return of Superman,' where he introduced his son Hao and his wife to the public. During the show, he explained that he had taken a break due to burnout after years of intense activity.
More recently, Gary has been sharing glimpses of his daily life, including family trips to Japan, continuing to stay connected with fans.
