Jimin’s blonde transformation becomes a viral sensation during BTS’ ‘ARIRANG’ tour

BTS member Jimin has been drawing attention throughout the group’s “ARIRANG” world tour with a series of eye-catching blonde hairstyles that have captivated fans worldwide.

During the opening night of BTS’ Las Vegas concert at Allegiant Stadium on May 23, Jimin appeared on stage with his long blonde hair partially braided, creating one of the tour’s most talked-about looks. The style quickly gained traction online, with “JIMIN BRAIDS” trending across social media platforms.

The hairstyle’s popularity extended beyond the fandom, inspiring numerous TikTok challenge videos. It even caught the attention of Spanish-language broadcaster Telemundo, where news anchor Lourdes Stephen paid tribute to the look while BTS’ song Who played in the background.

Jimin first introduced his long blonde hair during BTS’ comeback live performance at Gwanghwamun Square in March. The distinctive style earned him playful nicknames from fans, including “Lion Jimin,” and has remained a major topic of discussion as he continues to experiment with new variations.

According to a previous interview with a senior executive from BIGHIT MUSIC, Jimin personally chose to maintain the long hairstyle despite initial opposition. During a live broadcast, the singer revealed that nearly everyone around him, including company staff, was against the idea, while his mother was one of the few people who supported it.

Following the conclusion of BTS’ North American tour dates in Las Vegas, Jimin has returned to South Korea. He is set to reunite with fans again at BTS’ upcoming concerts in Busan on June 12 and 13.
