Tiffany Young shares her middle school photos from SM casting days
by Janie-Reign · allkpopTiffany Young has shared photos from her middle school days, when she was first cast by SM Entertainment.
On the June 27 broadcast of MBC’s variety show 'Point of Omniscient Interfere,' the episode featured the daily life of Tiffany Young, a singer and actress with 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry.
During the show, Tiffany Young appeared on a radio program hosted by Park Myung Soo. When Park Myung Soo asked, “You were reportedly scouted by SM after receiving a business card at a Korean culture festival in LA during middle school. Why were you there in the first place?”
Tiffany explained, “I went to an open audition because I wanted to sing, but they told me I was too young. I was 15, and the minimum age was 16. I was disappointed and was about to go home, so I went into a restroom—and that’s when I received the business card. I joined SM just three months later.”
Archive footage then showed photos of Tiffany Young in her teenage years. When Song Eun Yi commented on her youthful charm, saying she looked like a “baby,” Tiffany clarified that she was in her third year of middle school at the time.
She also took a moment to thank the casting manager who helped launch her career, saying, “Thank you.”
