Choo Young Woo Attends ‘Baeksang Arts Awards’ Despite Eye Injury, Appears With Eyepatch

Actor Choo Young Woo attended the Baeksang Arts Awards despite suffering an eye injury.

The 62nd edition of the awards ceremony was held on May 8 at COEX Hall D in Gangnam, Seoul.

During the ceremony, Choo Young Woo and Chae Won Bin appeared as presenters for the Best New Actor/Actress award in the television category and the Young Theater Award in the theater category.

Choo Young Woo especially drew attention as he appeared wearing an eyepatch over one eye. He said, “I received the Best New Actor award at this ceremony last year, and standing here today as a presenter brings back many emotions,” before continuing with the presentation.

Following Chae Won Bin’s remark, “The stars in the night sky do not shine from the moment they are born,” Choo Young Woo added, “Our work is very similar to the story of stars,” as he presented the Best New Actor award in the television category.
