Lee So Ra to return with new single in July after 7-year hiatus

by · allkpop

Lee So Ra is making her long-awaited return with a new single this July — her first release in about seven years.

Her agency Marehim Entertainment confirmed the July release on June 29. The upcoming track marks her first new music since "Request Song (Feat. SUGA of BTS)" dropped in January 2019 and swept the charts.

In the years since, Lee So Ra stayed active through drama OSTs, but fans have been waiting for a proper solo comeback. "I am deeply moved to release a new song after such a long time, and I hope many people will listen to it," she shared. "I am grateful to those who have waited for me, and I will sing much more in the future."

Lee So Ra debuted in 1993 as part of vocal group Strangers before launching her solo career in 1995. Over the decades, she has built a legendary catalog with hits like "I'm Happy," "Proposal," "Blue in You," "Please," and "A Wind Blows."

Fans can look forward to hearing that signature voice on new material this July.
